It really pays to jump on the springboard to healthy habits!
Shape Up is challenging camps participating in the program to present their best activities to encourage young people to adopt healthy lifestyle habits.
Contest entrants have until noon on July 28, 2016, to submit their healthy activities.
To be won: one of six prizes with a total value of $6,000.
Got a healthy habit activity to share?
Enter the identification email (@goshapeup.ca)transmitted to your Shape Up Leader in your camp.
De-scribe your activity in a clear and detailed way: goal, description and organization, time, material required, number of participants, and venue. Refer to the Game Sheets in the Camp Zone section of goshapeup.ca for ideas on how to present it. The description must be clear enough that anyone can easily organize the activity themselves. Tip: Have someone who was not involved in developing the activity read through the instructions.
What makes your activity original? Highlight these aspects in your presentation.
3.In your description, be sure to highlight the moderate to high intensity of your activity. For example, how much time of moderate to high activity does your activity include? To guide you, consult the Foundation and Program section in the Shape Up Handbook.
4.BONUS POINTS: Integrate physical literacy into your games proposal. To guide you, consult the '' Going further '' in the Shape Up Handbook.
3.In your description, be sure to highlight the links between your activity and healthy eating by focusing on youth development (skills, knowledge, discoveries).
4.BONUS POINTS: Invent a new game using the Shape Up food cards. To guide you, check out the healthy eating activity cards so you can see what has already been created.
